Engaging Stakeholders through New Media
How times have changed! LucyCo has been listening to our clients’ stakeholders for 14 years. We do this through one on one interviews, phone surveys, focus groups, stakeholder interviews, Web surveys and chatting with them in various settings. Increasingly, we find more and more people are asking for information through new media.

So while traditional tools like newsletters, brochures and direct mail pieces remain effective, there’s a growing outreach strategy that can’t be ignored. We want to help you, our clients, learn about new media by exploring our Web site.

Our interactive public outreach services are heavy on new media strategies – podcasts, blogs, Web 2.0, Facebook, message boards and more. New media is valuable for:

  • Establishing a voice and demonstrating your organization’s personality among key audiences.
  • Sharing information, driving action and engaging in conversations with customers, stakeholders, community groups, etc.
  • Reaching millennials
  • Quickly monitoring and analyzing feedback about your organization, issues, projects, concepts, etc.
  • Proactively providing resourceful information to internal and external audiences

While talking with stakeholders, it’s no surprise to hear some are relying only on new media rather than traditional outreach strategies. However, others still rely on traditional announcements like printed newsletters and direct mail. Right now, it’s important to use both new and traditional tools to reach the maximum number of customers and stakeholders.
